Description
The Sea Turtle also known as a marine turtle has seven different species found throughout the world's oceans. The flatback, green, hawksbill, leatherback, loggeheard, Kemps ridley, and olive riddle. Five of the seven species are listed on the IUCN red list of Threatened Species. The leather back is the largest of all these species and weigh between 600- 1400 lbs. They are usually found in oceans over continental shelves and have a fascinating life cycle in which some females are know to return to the very same beaches from which they were hatched.
